Dr. Frederik Kolster
Difficult challenges in regulated industries such as medical devices and pharmaceuticals are Dr. Frederik Kolster’s specialty, especially when standard solutions no longer work. His areas of expertise include taking on a management role with a focus on turnaround and implementation as a managing director, as a plant manager and as a global project or program manager.
He is familiar with corporate structures as well as family-owned companies and takes a holistic, pragmatic approach to long-term customer success. Customers appreciate his goal-oriented and at the same time empathetic approach. Challenging tasks are solved competently and individually – within the given norms and limits.
The result is tailor-made solutions that can be implemented. He has repeatedly taken on management tasks in crises, such as overall responsibility for the restructuring of a medical plant of a German corporation. Subsequently, for 3.5 years, he continued the restructuring in the same position towards a highly competitive site.
Dr. Frederik Kolster, born in 1980, studied industrial engineering with a focus on electrical engineering and strategic business management at the University of Paderborn and at the Graduate School of EWHA University in Seoul/South Korea. This was followed by further DAAD-supported stays abroad and work as a research assistant at the Chair of Macroeconomics and International Economic Relations at the University.
The doctoral thesis on “Status and Professionalization of Human Resource Management and its Impact on Corporate Success” was evaluated magna cum laude.
Dr. Frederik Kolster has been an Associate Partner of F&P Executive Solutions AG since 2023.
