Both small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies use interim managers to improve or set up controlling systems. Interim managers are faced with the challenge of establishing an adequate controlling system tailored to the needs of the company within their limited assignment period.<\/p> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Success factor<\/span>Interim Manager<\/span><\/h2>

The advantages of interim management in setting up controlling systems were also demonstrated by the example of a successful and profitable trading company with an annual turnover of \u20ac200 million, whose procurement and sales markets had collapsed due to the coronavirus. The otherwise healthy company lacked transparency and was threatened by liquidity bottlenecks.<\/p>

The deployment of the interim manager led to a considerable input of expertise in integrated corporate planning and the resulting liquidity simulation.<\/p>

Controlling structures, controlling instruments and controlling processes were individually tailored to the company. The basis for a transparent and forward-looking corporate management system was created. The management skills and change and leadership experience brought in by the interim manager enable the controlling system to be quickly applied and brought to life.<\/p> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

What happens when the assignment of interim managers ends?<\/span><\/h2>

How do companies continue to use the controlling framework that has been painstakingly built up and is necessary for professional corporate management?<\/p>

The result is sobering. In around 70% of cases, the “start-up financing” provided by the interim manager is not taken up further by the people responsible and the companies fall back to their old performance level.<\/p>
