Although the global harmonization of processes was successfully driven forward, the strong focus on functional goals led to a pronounced internal focus in the individual divisions.<\/p><p class=\"zw-cgb__fulltext \">As a result, the requirements of the business divisions were no longer sufficiently taken into account. At the same time, the combination of governance and service responsibility made it difficult to provide customer-oriented services. This included, among other things<\/p><ul class=\"zw-cgb-ul fulltext \"><li class=\"\">Finance<\/li><li class=\"\">Controlling<\/li><li class=\"\">Supply Chain Management<\/li><li class=\"\">Procurement<\/li><li class=\"\">Human Resources (HR)<\/li><li class=\"\">Communications<\/li><li class=\"\">Consulting<\/li><li class=\"\">Environment, Health &amp; Safety (EHS)<\/li><li class=\"\">Intellectual Property<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"zw-cgb__fulltext \">In addition, a transitional organization and a target image for the future organizational structure had to be developed and implemented. Regional contacts looked after the respective business areas, while global service heads took responsibility for the design and further development of services.<\/p><p class=\"zw-cgb__fulltext \">A tried-and-tested &#8220;lift &amp; shift&#8221; approach was chosen for the go-live.
