Norbert Hülsmann: Experienced interim manager and consultant

Norbert Hülsmann is an experienced interim manager and consultant. After training as an agricultural machinery mechanic, he furthered his education as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician. He then completed a degree in materials engineering at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Materials and Microstructural Engineering at Sheffield City Polytechnic, now Sheffield Hallam University. He also holds an MBA in International Management from the University of London.

For over 20 years, Norbert has worked in the UK and internationally. He has successfully transformed, reorganized, and built businesses. His roles included CEO, COO, and Managing Director in Germany, Managing Director in England, and President in the USA. Furthermore, he served as Co-Managing Director in Poland, Hungary, Turkey, and China, adhering to the dual control principle.

His focus has been on medium-sized companies in mechanical and plant engineering, as well as metal processing. He has worked in family businesses, a PE-managed group, and a public limited company.

After a long career in the industry, he became an independent interim manager and consultant on 01.10.2023. His special focus is on strategy and business development, M&E processes, and optimizing complete value chains. Moreover, he supports medium-sized companies as CEO, COO, or CRO on a temporary basis.

Companies benefit from his leadership and assertiveness. He combines an entrepreneurial mindset with a balance of analytics and pragmatism. With his extensive knowledge in strategy and business development, he ensures the successful implementation of critical projects. His ‘hands-on’ approach quickly builds trust among the workforce. When necessary, he gets directly involved in projects to propel them forward.
