Dr. Uwe Seidel

Dr. Uwe Seidel is a trained electrical engineering technician, graduated from university with a degree in mechanical engineering, specialising in energy technology, and earned his doctorate in turbomachinery engineering.

After holding various divisional management positions at technology leaders, Dr. Seidel took on managing responsibilities in German and American/German corporations before founding new companies and successfully bringing them to market after a short time. From these self-employed positions, Dr. Seidel took on his first interim manager mandates as an interim executive at the European Business School (EBS) and made this his current focus.

Since 2000, he has gained experience in the development of business fields and technologies that are now considered successful technologies in the field of digitalisation and Industry 4.0. Dr. Seidel underpins this with targeted change measures with the aim of actively involving existing company workforces in these topics to a high degree. There are various publications on these topics.

A key feature of his leadership style is building trust based on individual skills, qualifications and performance. He attaches great importance to presenting and clearly communicating the company’s goals to workplaces, creating and maintaining transparency and thus generating reliability and sustainability. Furthermore, the transfer of responsibility on a well-founded basis of trust is important to him. He always manages to build up courage and motivation for challenges and changes. And last but not least, his hands-on mentality in development, production and business data analysis is a key to success.

He has carried out consulting and project management projects in engineering, operations management, change management and restructuring. As an interim manager, he has held positions as COO, CTO, Head of Business Unit and Head of R&D. His expertise spans engineering, operations, R&D, operational restructuring, start-ups and post-merger integration. The industries he has worked in are mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and plant engineering.
