Dipl.-Ing. Nico Pohlmann

Nico Pohlmann is an expert in price and sales management, as well as in restructuring and turnaround measures of companies in the capital goods sector of medium-sized businesses.

As a sales-oriented graduate engineer with several years in the USA in the role of a CEO, he looks back on many years of management experience in mechanical and plant engineering as well as electrical engineering and measurement technology. He also has profound knowledge in the environment of the automotive supply industry as a Tier I and Tier II supplier of complex systems.

In all positions as sales manager and managing director at home and abroad, Mr. Pohlmann was the driver and visionary of organisational changes against the background of continuous, profitable market expansion. This includes the adjustment to the sales organisation, the sales and corporate strategy, as well as the optimisation of processes – also in production and logistics – and the continuous company-wide use of ERP and CRM systems.

The experience gained in implementing a profitable pricing strategy is based on many years of guided price management from components to systems to complete plants. He has also successfully implemented single-source contracts with the automotive industry (GM, FORD, CHRYSLER) and the sale of a complete business unit.

In addition, he looks back on a successful reorganisation of a medium-sized, family-run company from a component manufacturer to a system manufacturer.

Mr. Pohlmann is an analytical strategist with a very quick grasp and a pronounced market orientation. He is characterised by a high level of communication skills across all levels. He is strong in decision-making and implementation and is a “hands-on” manager who understands how to carry employees and managers along in equal measure.

Nico Pohlmann studied mechanical engineering at the TU Berlin, specialising in fluid mechanics. He is passionate about music, sailing and golf.

Mr Pohlmann has been self-employed with his own consulting and interim management company since June 2013.

He has been an Associate Partner at F&P Executive Solutions since the beginning of 2020.
